The Czech BIM Council is also a platform for interaction among experts from any fields directly affected by BIM. One of the primary objectives of czBIM is to expand cooperation with schools, societies and institutions. czBIM is a respected partner for both the private sector and for state and public administration.
The primary mission of czBIM is popularisation, education and promotion in the area of BIM. The objective is to extend the BIM method to the widest possible range of professionals and non-professionals in all parts of the building sector.
czBIM actively dedicates itself to education. It provides not only general information about the BIM method, but also focuses on the specific aspects of implementing it with respect to the specific target group. It provides consultancy, seminars, workshops and conferences for those interested in BIM, as well as tools and know-how to try the BIM method on a real project.
The Czech BIM Council is an opponent in the drafting of new legislation, and also creates or promotes new standards. The Association’s Board of Directors, working groups and projects all take an active part in promoting the BIM method in the Czech Republic. Many members of the Board of Directors are active members and representatives of BIM, e.g. on domestic and foreign technical committees.
There are several thematically defined working groups within czBIM and a number of ongoing projects composed of members of the Czech BIM Council – experts from the field or academic sphere.
